Ohtel is a near-new modern, low-rise concrete building designed to 100% of the current code in New Zealand - it's a safe place to be should an event occur during your visit.
It looks like the bathrooms have no doors?
Correct! The bathrooms are separated from the bedroom by glass partitions and a heavy curtain. Don't worry, the bathroom is still private.
As Ohtel is a small exclusive hotel late cancellations have a significant impact. If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of the visit, a 25% charge of the total stay cost applies.
Within seven days, or for no-shows, the full booking tariff will be incurred.
Travel insurance which protects against unexpected changes to your clients travel agenda is recommended.
Should you or your clients wish to amend or cancel their plans, please contact us as soon as possible so we can endeavour to accommodate their request. Please note that all cancellations must be advised in writing. Ohtel will acknowledge all amendments and cancellations in writing.
We can arrange for either a corporate cab, or shuttle to pick you up from Wellington Airport, the Interislander or Bluebridge terminal baggage claim and bring you to Ohtel.
A corporate cab from Wellington Airport is $52, or $48 to the airport for up to 4 people. A shuttle from or to Wellington Airport is $25, $30, $35, $40 for 1, 2 3 or 4 guests retrospectively.
Our lobby is open from 7am - 9pm Monday - Friday and 8am - 9pm Saturday and Sunday.
If you arrive after 9pm please use the after hours access door which can be found to the left hand side of the building frontage:
• Enter the 4-digit PIN provided on confirmation
• Room access card and instructions in named envelope inside clear box on right-hand side wall.
If you need any assistance checking in after hours our friendly Customer Service Team offer 24 hour telephone support at any time to ensure a smooth experience. Our contact details in the event of an issue can be found on arrival displayed at our door entrance.
Normal check out time is 11am. Late checkouts after midday subject to availability for $39.
We can look after your bags while you roam the city until departure later in the day - no problem!
Normal check-in time is 3pm. Early check-ins can only be guaranteed by booking the room for the previous evening. We will however do our best to prioritise cleans to make rooms available as soon as possible.
You are welcome to drop off your bags early on the way into the city and we will put them in your room ready for your return later.
What’s the story with car parking?
There is no parking on-site at Ohtel. We suggest if you don't need a vehicle during your stay, return it after check-in to the rental company.
If you do need a car, there is ample car parking on the street outside the property. Charges are as follows: $4/Hr. Mon - Fri. 8am till 6pm Sat and Sun free for up to two hours during the same time frame.
